A passion for artisan baking, combined with an eye for detail and a keen drive for precision – mmacaron was founded by Mark McIntosh in 2021.
from jet engines to jaffa cakes…
mmacaron was founded in 2021 by Mark Mcintosh, borne out of a love for artisan baking which dates back to childhood. His route here hasn’t been a traditional one – until last year, Mark was a senior VP at Rolls Royce, responsible for bringing complex engineering projects to life.
But there are more similarities between jet engines and decadent cakes than you’d think. Mark brings the same precision, commitment to perfection and expert craftsmanship that ran through his work at Rolls Royce to his produce here at mmacaron. Everything you’ll enjoy today has been hand crafted by Mark and his team, lovingly made with local ingredients, and designed to give customers moments of luxurious joy that simply can’t be found elsewhere.

Lauren Dunkley – head pastry chef
Lauren is an exceptionally talented pastry chef having worked and developed in the industry since she left school. She has worked for some of the most prestigious companies, including Godiva, where she has honed many of her skills that she now brings to mmacaron. In her spare time she loves playing football as a striker and enjoying her two cats.
Danny Walker – pastry chef
Jaimie Mumford – front of house
Jaimie is the front of house lead at mmacaron, and is the one who will greet you all with her infectious smile and make sure you are all well looked after whilst with us. She has extensive experience in catering and customer service having previously worked at Calke Abbey and even flying around Europe for Ryanair.
